About Melinda Schriver
Founder and CEO
Like so many adult children, I found myself navigating uncharted territory when my parents reached their 80s. When they made it clear they wouldn’t leave their home, I faced a reality so many families do: how to honor their wishes while keeping them safe.
nHome was born from my own family's aging in place journey. My role as family caregiver for my parents inspired me to help others age with dignity at home. I became their advocate, planner and problem-solver, modifying their home for safety, coordinating care, managing medications, and leveraging technology for easier communication. This experience drives my commitment to helping families like yours.
- Digital Health Innovation: Launched and managed virtual visits, remote patient monitoring, and virtual family connections to keep seniors connected to their healthcare providers and loved ones.
- Home Safety & Accessibility: Conduct comprehensive home assessments for both urgent and long-term needs, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Care Coordination & Education: Guide families through financial planning, advance care directives, and facilitate connections to trusted elder law attorneys, financial planners, and care providers.
- Resource Navigation: Connect families with community resources and support networks tailored to their unique needs.
- My approach is rooted in compassion, expertise, and a commitment to ongoing professional development – ensuring you receive the most current, effective, and personalized guidance available.
- Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)®
- Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS)
- Master of Health Administration (MHA), Indiana University
- Master of Business Administration (MBA), Indiana University
This work is deeply personal to me. My parents lived their final years in their home, surrounded by familiar memories and in control of their lives. I want that for your family, too.
